XXV K&K Monarchy Trophy - summary
The Annual golf Tournament between the nations of the former Austrian Monarchy, who today are members of ESGA - Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary.
This Year it has been played at the Ptuj Golf Club Slovenia, on the Drava River.
The tournament was played on a beatiful green golf course, where the participants competed in a three-day tournament.
Even though it has been played for 25 years, the format of the game is still the same.
Participating countries send two teams (55+) of six members each and one master team (75+) of two members.
The first day is played in the 4BBB Stableford format.
The second day is played in the Greensome Stableford with a choice of drives.
Singles were played on the third day.
Each team submitted its two best results daily, and on the third day when singles were played, four results were taken. The master team's results were calculated by the sum of all net and gross Stableford over the three days.
On the first day of the tournament, the players completed a practice round.
The evening program began with a photographing of the individual teams, followed by a parade of all teams, a cultural program, and Slovenian President Branko Florjanič officially opened the 25th anniversary of the K+K MT.

Then the organizers invited the participants to some great refreshmenst, where homemade specialities and excellent local wine were served.
After the end of the first round, a meeting of the presidents followed.
After two days of competition, on Wednesday evening, a Gala Dinner was held at the Primus Hotel, where most of the players were staying. The evening was full of discussions about golf, accompanied by a selection of local cuisine.
After the third round, in which all players played singles, the results were announced, preceded by a small snack "on the way home".
The last word belonged to the future organizers of the K+K MT 2027 tournament, which is the Czech Republic. The representative of the Czech Senior Association took over the K+K MT relay flag from the Slovenian President, Mr. Florjanič. Mr. Peter Dutkievič, on behalf of the Czech Senior Association, and invited us to participate in the next year.
The tournament in Slovenia was organized at a high level, and we would like to thank them for that.
